Forget being fans and that kinda *****. I gather Taylor feels really bad about the tackle and has gone to see eduardo. I think that he should get further punishment so that he fully understands and can reflect on his actions. In the future he may think twice about lunging into a players ankle in the ***** 3rd minute of the game!

youve got 2 be joking, that was a straight red because the tackle was misstimed and also because the tackle inflicted the safety of eduardo. so saying it was a yellow is out of order. i am a manutd fan and i felt the way, the ARSENAL 'CAPTAIN' protested on the pitch at the end of the match, as if he lost the league, should be fined by arsenal as it was a disgrace to their team.

I agree wit scott.......It was a bad takle but banned for life na thats just stuipid his second red of his carrer hes also only had 6 yellow cards in his carrer thats 1 every 39 games....soonerr or later somone was bound to get hurt baddly after some of the stupid takles in teh prem, mikel, flamini, brown, eboue.:o

The man in the blue shirt should be banned for life from playing football. (I wonder if he knew that is what he was supposed to be playing). The people in the blue shirts should play with ten men for the rest of the season. I hope the man who broke his leg recovers to play well again. This would be a great (albeit slightly unfair) deterrent for aspiring hooligans on the pitch.

While the red card was necessary I have become reconciled to the idea that a 3-game ban is sufficient.

One incredibly unlucky part of this story is that Taylor is apparently the opposite of the storied 'hard man' of english football. Check out his press clippings-- Graeme Souness lamented six years ago that he was too nice to make it to the top level; said he was the perfect son-in-law but that wasn't what he wanted on his team! His nickname is 'the gentle giant.' Who knows-- his manager may have told him to stick his foot in against Arsenal if wanted to keep his place in the starting lineup-- we'll never know. But he does seem the last guy in the league to set out to purposely clatter Eduardo.

The reality is everywhere he goes the rest of his life the whisper will follow him-- he'll always be the guy who destroyed Eduardo's career. They'll be talking behind his back in the pub when he's seventy-five and sitting there finishing a pint. That will be punishment enough.

taking away a leg of a soccer player is like cutting off the hands of an artist. it ** CKs up their career. eduardo was JUST getting in the groove of the arsenal beat, now he won't be able to play. not angry at taylor, cuz it could've been anyone, and like the commentator said, he's just a dumb clutz.
