When we didn't qualify it was a test for ALL England fans.. Some just went to boo their team. Others keep on believing in this team. It doesn't mean that to believe you have to agree with all the decisions made. Mc Laren was one decision that I didn't agree with but I never went on to boo him. I had to respect him.

Yea.. big, shiny, famous, rich England didn't qualify. But we are still humans are are entitled to everything. We are NO gods or superstars.

Now we have a new coach, one of the best in the world I must say. Its a new era and we should forget the past. Its difficult to do so, because when we see others playing in the Euro and enjoying this competition, nd we are at home then yes it is difficult.

But the one who didn't care about England [McLaren] is sacked, its a story of the past.
Let's look forward. I believe in this team. No Lampard, No Robinson. Nd' No McLaren.
Let's say yes to the likes of Bentley, Rooney, Rio, Gerrard, SWP, Joe Cole etc..

Nd YOU Big Pole just shut up because I can tell that if your team doesn't qualify or do well you start booing him. I just can see from your words. But we're NOT like you. We're going to believe in our team and finally we are going to get our reward.

Its better than to see boring football that can lead us to somewhere high rather than watching good football that can lead us to nowhere.

Agreed. Boring football, italian style, heavy relly on counter attacks. Effective but boring, definetly not the english footbal that I'm used to see..

I think 'awesome' maybe an overstatement, the performance was a foundation on developing a team. Fabio capello would inject a professionalism with continental style of football mix with the British Bulldog which will produce results. It may not be sexy, but it will be smart and effective. If Capello continues to select the England team based on current form then England will have a VERY bright future.[/quote]

It IS an awesome performance. Remember that everyone including the coach was under pressure and its not always easy to perform well when under pressure. But they did very well - they were in a difficult position and the win is nothing but awesome.

Capello play italian football whit the english team. all english people i know, hate italian football, because its too lame. But with this type of football u win a championchip... Italian style its not attractiv but effectiv!!

If the reason to bring on david Beckham is based upon reputation then that will not improve the team, but rather repel the foundation of a team filled with potential, something witness on Wednesday. However if he selected David Beckham on fitness, team appearance, consistence and of cause performance then that will be an additional benefit to the team. But my personal opinion is England problems have always lied on the football politics off and on the pitch when selecting the team it has been unjust, unfair to deservely players whose performance on a consistency basis has always been overlooked because of media pressure to select names rather than contenders, performers and potential winners.

2 fantastic saves by the swiss keeper and a few more glorious opportunities missed, the game could have been a blow out.
