Did you see both matches ? Liverpool was indeed better in extra time and had more quality in the end But that does not say it deserves to win. The only thing Liverpool had better then Standard is the keeper. If you change the keepers Standard wins with 1-0 at home and wins with 0-1 at Anfield and no extra time so no quality in the end

LIverpool didn't look strong. Players are missing or hurt, Torres looks good and is doing positive things, but when his shots are unlucky, there's not always a lot to fall back on. Keane's a good opportunist - he'll score, but like with any important partnership, I think it'll take some games and some time for the players to learn one another. That said, I don't think Liverpool will win the League. Torres is a great player, Gerrard is a great player, but there is much left to be desired. Too bad the American owners care more about baseball.

[I’m also Belgian, but what you’re saying is rubbish! Standard played a good match, managed to keep Liverpool from scoring for 208 minutes! But when you don’t score one single goal, not even with a penalty kick, you can’t claim to be the best team!

Why didn’t Standard score? Because Liverpool has a top keeper Pepe Reina..but that’s their good right!

And when you have the quality to give a good cross (Babel), and the abillity to score a goal (Kuyt) ; Something Standard couldn’t do!, you can’t tell that Liverpool has “all the luck on their side”, it’s just skill]

by the way, I can't understant this thing with Dirk Kuyt. He has no pace, his ball control is awful, can't dribble, no clue about positioning, shooting poor. Still he constantly pops up with important UCL goals? :-?
