I agree that Salt Lake's nickname is stupid. Evidently, they don't know that Madrid's name means "Royal Madrid". What idiots. I also agree that D.C. United is dumb too. But Football Club Dallas is definitely appropriate because the proper name of the sport is football. We actually sound foolish if we don't call it football.

Americans read that and you decide for yourselves whether or not you would rather have a league that others might care about because their own players are playing there, or a distinct and unique American soccer culture that we can be proud of. Bring back the Burn, Earthquakes, and MetroStars in place of the RedBull (posing from many European teams, but to name one, RedBull Salzburg), Dynamo (Dynamo Kiev), and FOOTBALL?? club Dallas.

You call us capitalist pigs and corporate junkies, but we'll let your jerseys speak for themselves. We don't have a corporate sponsor for all of ours.

The problem comes from haters in the U.S. People who try to act like they know all kinds of **** about soccer will say MLS is **** in a second without having ever watched a game (from any country). MLS is a rising league and give it 5-10 years and it will be up there with some of the english leagues

wow, the MLS has really gotten better this year.

Funny how a lot of those goals were scored on Real Salt Lake.

its understood though, they are still a new team, and it takes a couple years to establish yourself.

yea but you have got to ask yourself if they shouldve been alloud to score those goals. I mean, they defensive players really do need to close the opposition down more quickly.
