Roma being without Totti isn’t an excuse. Those 7 we scored against them last year were with Totti playing on the pitch.

lets forget last year and concentrate on the pitch this year - just try and give a good performance rather than getting carried by the away result. I think we need to go into the later stages with higher level of confidence

All these chants and rhetorics of English teams in CL is foolishness. I am not English personally, never supported England but a die-hard fan of Manchester United. I feel the country feelings should not be brought in club competitions, more so as the clubs are well-internationalized and it is upto the short sightedness of a manager to favour English players over quality non-English players in staffing his team. And being a true Man United fan I would never support Arsenal and Liverpool against a third club whether they are English clubs or not

He is very determined to win games and win them well. I think that is an excellent quality that you want to see on each and every footballer. His level of determination is beyond my understanding. If there is anybody right now on earth who might disagree the fact that Ronaldo IS the best player in the world at the moment, I can blindly say that person either doesn't know football or he/she has to be mentally retarded.

It was interesting to hear Marcello Lippi commenting that he had a new found rewspect for Cristiano Ronaldo after this match as before he had not considered him highly, or words to that meaning.

Great choice in playing van de sarr and an even better decision to play Park. Ferguson is a genius. But then any choice to play a manutd player is a good one since we're so powerful in depth. Saying that...it was an aweful game from Anderson though.

LOL this is great liverpool will take out arsenal in those 3 games, effectivly finishin there cl and epl season...and fenerbache just beat chelsea which equals dip in form that equals gettin screwd in epl..which leaves everythin easy for UTD and ronaldo to pik up the 2 trophies....too simple!

I suppose you're right Ajit, but I have my doubts. I'd rather he give everyone the "that weak sh** won't stop me" look and then back it up with yet another amazing goal rather than the arm flapping, etc. But that's just me.

i reckon the champions leugue is ours this year. If you look at the year liverpool last won it and look at their season they were nothin special that season really. there always top four granted but you never think that it will ever be liverpools year in the prem. they scraped through to the final on mediocre performances and only shone for 45 minutes which was in the final. I think they deserved to win based on that game and that game only. It's time for the real champions to win the champions league this year where we have been outstanding all season. ok its not like we havnt lost but we have also demolished teams week in week out and scored over 4 goals in 10 games (so far) to go to roma who is a bit of a grudge match for them and win 2-0 shows that it will be or year. liverpool always go all out i europe but thats because theyve got fuckall alse to win.

I was actually cursing Ferguson when they played for the 1st 25mins, Man Utd was playing like a headless chicken. God knows some how they scored 2! Both Rooney and Ronaldo should have added more, especially for the boy wonder who had an excellent chance in the last 10mins from a cross by Tevez.

Still a marvelous performance, semi final here we come!

Glory Man United !! wat a win today ... solid defence and clinical counter attack made our day ... Roma missed lots of chances but part of the luck was earned by the Man United defence by tight covering and containing the confidence of the Roma strikers. United for the double !!
