    Hey

    Ever since I found Footytube I have checked 1-2 times a day minimum! Some things I have noticed and thinks to improve on for the new beta

    1) Quality of video: alot of the YouTube videos have been poor while the other sites (fred ect) have been excellent quality. While its a judgement call, please give preference for the quality videos - worst feeling ever to wait 5 minutes for it to fully download and then seeing poor quality . Quality over quanity every time!

    2) New features: its great that your making this site dynamic, but like someone earlier said, we come here FIRST for Footy highlights and then the rest. Please remember this otherwise the videos will get too laggy - simply the interface

    3) Download: One of the best things I like about footy tube is that for Player Complimations or Highlight roles, there were download links posted by you or the creator of the video. Since then, I have watched the "Best of Saison" video nearly 200 times on my iPod :)

    Great job! But learn from Facebook - radical changes will result in a revolt, negative feedback and people leaving the site. Simplify it and gradually make change

    Well I'm happy that Footytube is going to a new "era". It's going through a major change. It has been while now and the old Footytube should retire.

    I don't mind all the opinions and making friends things, but I just want to make something clear, and that is people like me, and including some other people, come here specially just for football match highlights. We like this site because it gives us football highlights and we don't need to look for them.

    So we just want you guys to know that it's okay adding some extra features, just remember that your site is loved for its footy highlights, and I'm afraid that you all may get so busy with other features of the site that you forgot about the very reason why this site started in the first place. The footy highlights are the reason why you guys are called "Footytube".

    And 1 last thing, I hope the videos won't be too difficult to find. This site is good cause if you want any videos it's not difficult searching.

    Sorry for long comment but I just wanna voice my opinions :)

    What is the format that you are going to be running this new site at?, what other leagues do you intent to introduce? I allways have to go to you tube to see other leagues..So far so good even thou I don't like the new comment format but maybe I just have to get used to it.

    PT, the format will be this in a nutshell: up to date videos from all over the world. We automatically scan the web to find the relevant videos you want. As far as the comment system, it's going to be slightly better than this.

    I think it looks great! The new features look like they would be a lot of fun. Although i do agree with this other guy about having easy accessibility to the videos, i'm sure the footytube has that in mind. The footytube team probably cares more about the videos than anybody else, that's why they created this site! trust me they deff have everything in mind. I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEW FOOTYTUBE!

    Please upload videos faster. Also i realised you never put up world cup qualification matches from africa. pls try to get some of them at least the ones from the top 5. (Ghana, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Cameroon and Nigeria.

    Congratulations!
    ...but please , please, please
    DON'T show the score in the titles (I noticed them in the preview.)
    Please just the teams and the date.
    (And if possible keep the "goals" videos separate form the Hightlights ...so we can't figure out the score that way either.)
    Makes all the difference.

    A great thing about footytube is the final score is not shown - so when watching the videos, there is some suspense. Please make sure v2.0 doesnt show the score in the video title. thanks

    Footytube - a Godsend when it comes to catching up with highlights. Just wanted to thank all involved in running Footytube including Admin and user uploads.

    Also wanted to say an official Thanks to Fred54, whoever, or , wherever you are.... absolute legend... if it wasnt for you... i wudnt have caught Robinhos hat trick in high quality... BIg Fan of urs....

    i love footytube and think its great that is going for a change hopefully for the better and cannot wait until it is released...

    the main thing im hoping for is with the youtube videos aren't as good qualities and all the football highlights will be great quality but besides that i love footytube

    first place to come for football highlights is FOOTYTUBE

    I love footytube without a doubt. Living all the way in America, sometimes the
    only way to see an EPL match is to go on footytube. Without it, I would only watch 3 games tops per week. I liked the comment made by Darino and Roland. They basically sum up
    what all of us footytube lovers would like to see in version 2.0. Can't wait to get an invite for the beta! Keep up the good work!

    Hey guys, looking forward to the new footytube!
    Only things I need to point out is:
    1) Recently I've found it more difficult to find decent videos of the EPL. Some of the videos are just still shots etc! I can usually find the video eventually but the last few months I've needed to sort through them slightly as opposed to a year ago where the first click was always the right video. Maybe some sort of user voting system could fix this?
    2) More foreign leagues! You guys do an awesome job and I know it can be difficult to get hold of highlights of the lesser followed leagues but if you could get highlightd of the A-League (Australian league) that would be awesome.

    I think adding the "personal profile" per se would make things a lot easier to communicate with people that have the same interests with you. This won't become a myspace knockoff because the main theme is Football!! That's all that is going to be talked about or things related to it. Plus, from a personal opinion I think it's great because as an American, there are SO MANY other popular sports here (Basketball, Baseball, American Football) that football i kind of under the radar. I only get to talk in depth about football only with my teammates, that's only about 30 to 40 people in a school of 3,000+ that i could talk football with. Adding this would make me have something in common to talk about 24/7.

    We understand your (and everyone else's) annoyance and we apologize for the delays. Long story short, one of our data suppliers ceased service and we had to migrate everything to a different company and a different service. Certainly not easy, considering the size of the project.

    That said, we've been hard at work and will have a private beta release very (and I mean it) soon. People who have registered will be sent invitations gradually, so we can tweak our servers and make FT2 fast and reliable.

    We've been working on this release for a year and a half and believe we finally nailed the perfect recipe. We thank you for your continued interest in FootyTube and we promise not to disappoint!

    Calm down. These people are providing a service to you from the goodness of their hearts. You're not paying to access FootyTube, so they can take as long as they damn well please. If you don't like it, too bad.

    listen mate.....these people are providing a free service to the public, don't be ungrateful. The time and work it takes to complete an ambitious project like footytube 2.0 is incredible. You clearly take that for granted so I say to you, stop complaining when these people are providing a free service.

    To footytube admins, i am growing a little weary but keep up the good work guys. Im glad you guys continue to update the site as you still work on the project. All the best of luck admins with the new site. Il be a consistent member for sure.

    I love Footytube.com, and after looking at the preview for footytube 2.0 i cant wait. it looks like a facebook/youtube mixed in one for football fans. I love the friends/rivals thing. It sure will get popular. Im a huge liverpool fan, and always post up video's of when i goto games on youtube, now i can post them on here. YNWA. Liverpool to win champions league and premier league this season!!

    hopefully the new footytube has highlights of matches from more leagues like the dutch league or french league or the Libertadores Cup. As many leagues as possible. It would be much appreciated. Thank you footytube for everything else especially for the player compilations

    Details:In Footytube, one has the privilege of seeing the most interesting part of foot ball matches in case you did not have the opportunity of seeing the match live.Unlike some other sites that just go straight to the goals alone.Well done.

    Footytube is surely the best when it comes to football video highlights, but it really please me to be able to watch the french "ligue 1" highlights as well. It's really a shame because it is producing quality games for and great goals for a long time now.

    I think changing footytube will be bad, because the best part about footytube was the very simple layout, simply putting the latest highlights in chronological order without any searching required. from what i can see, the new version seems to want to imitate youtube and facebook/myspace too much!!!
    as other people have said, things i WOULD like to see in v2.0 is better video quality, easy dowloadability, etc.
