  [-( poor aussies. these italians are such pussies they can't win fairly. They qualified with a dive against australia, they used rascist remarks against the world best player zidane and surprisingly won the world cup following some match fixing in italy just like the year they won their 2nd world cup. Call that whatever you want but not a coincidence. Italians are just some divers and asre useless.   that is not football. these Italian scums didn't deserve a penalty. the Aussie defender missed his tackle but you can see he is trying not to commit a foul and as always these italians have fooled the referee or shall i say paid him in advance as they do in italy. the italian player could have continued and shoot to score cause he was already in the penalty zone. And what about when cannavaro knocked down henry because he didn't how to stop him? maybe for you it wasn't a foul but for everyone else it was. and why do you keep saying that Italy played better overall? that's rubbish because italy had an easy draw. Italy might have beaten Germany but France knocked out Brazil( clearly would have beaten Italy), Portugal (a favorite as well) and spain (also favorite). that's what a call a difficult draw.

  dude look at both of their groups. france had togo, which is equivalent to ghana, switzerland and korea republic. USA was mediocre but look, italy had czech republic! who has one opf the greatest goalies in the world, including some nasty midfield and attack. Although they had some injuries, so did Italy, missing nesta the entire tournament and then losing de rossi. Oh, and to add another fact, totti got subed out most games in like the 55th-65th minute and del piero came on. Its not because of luck that italy won the world cup. If a defender slides in early in front of a player who has ball control and is in the box (or wherever on the pitch) then its obstruction. clearly a foul to any fifa referee. Now, back to the final. france subed out Henry, ribery, and vieria. totti left the game in the 61st and del piero came on in the 86th!! FURTHER PROVING MY POINT. france coach made awful decisions in the final and thats why the lost the game.\:d/

  no, you're not getting the point im trying to put across here. ok, listen buddy, there was contact. there was definitely contact between grosso and neil. when saying about when a defender slides in fron of a player, and makes contact, then its obstruction or another foul. the defender fully extended himself (watch video when theres 14 left) when grosso didnt even pull the cut to getr by him. then look at when theres 12, 6, then 5 seconds left, and really look and focus cuz im starting to get the impression that your a little blind. you see how the defenders head gets pushed back becuase grosso's knee makes contact with it. Now at 12 sec, lok at his arm, it slides own to his foot making more contact. When your body is in momentum like that contact, even the slightest, can cause a fall cuz it will give your body an unbalanced dstribution of weight. just like when you run.
  
  
  Back to the defenders. Cannavaro wasnt alone. He had the help of materazzi whos and absolute beast and zambrotta, whos phenomenal as well. Not only did they score CRITICAL GOALS during the world cup run, but they also kept the goal difference at +10!!! the highest, or one of th highest of any team! Look how well zambrotta played in the quarters against ukraine, he scored the first and set up toni with that nasty cut he made to split the defenders, (look it up, it was the best move any defender made all tournament to se up a goal) Materazzi scored the goal agaisnt czech and france in the final after going down 1 nil to the pk. when you say cannavaro 'did his part', no, he surpassed the expectations. He set up the final blow to germany after he won to straight head balls. (check that out). And people are saying that he punched henry??? bull shit, i love henry but he acted like a bitch there, he didnt get knocked out, get out of here with that idea. and materazzi BARELY clipped malouda, look at the highlights, i dont even think there was contact there (check that out) THANK YOU, HAVE A NICE DAY.   I am sorry Fooley, I have seen the video again and I am pretty sure you must be close to being blind or you just want to see what you want to see. what the hell do you mean by "you see how the defenders head gets pushed back because grosso’s knee makes contact with it"? I don't think you know what a dive is but let me explain it to you. Diving doesn't just mean falling down without being touched but it also mean looking for the contact with the defender to try and make it look like a foul in the referee's eyes just like for this dive. if that's not a dive then what choices do the defenders have. maybe do nothing and let the strikers score a goal. The Australian defender missed his tackle because grosso has seen it coming. if you look at the video correctly then you will see that grosso has one leg on the ground and make sure to make contact with his other foot to make it look like the defender has caught his leg. If you were a bit more more objective then you would also have known that after the world cup cannavaro said to henry that he had no other choice but to knock him down. Even though cannavaro is the best defender this year for me I don't think that italy would have survived Brazil or even the portugal. And for c.ronaldo, racists people like don't know anything and should shut their mouth. We are trying to have a football debate even though we disagree with each other. that's what makes us human and you a racist .

  what is wrong with you guys, Korea never got the help of the referee. they were simply better than the italians, period. And st-nase, i don't hate Italy. On the contrary i am a fan of many Italian players like Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro,and buffon. I put them among the best players in the world.So you can't say I hate Italy for no reason. I just don't like to see a team winning because of a dive.And the reason I mentioned those Italian players is that I have never seen them dive or very rarely. I am against any type of dive, especially those dives that c.ronaldo likes so much. No wonder why someone who support dives took this pseudonym.

The average age of those commenting on this thread has to be 10 years old max otherwise I can't understand how someone could actually say the things you guys have said and be serious.   thanks v-spot. I agree with you can't compare the 06 italian side and the french side of 1998. Italy would get crushed. I think i am fighhting for a lost cause by saying that diving is a disgrace in football. By the way, st-nase i don't think that France got any help from the referee against spain. we were loosing 1-0 because of a penalty given to spain. I think that's the point where the french side started to show their real potential. after the goal of ribery the game was clearly one sided with Zidane commanding the play and scoring a magnificant goal. I am happy to discuss about any subject but for the love of footbal don't say that dives are smart.

  Français, what u say dosen't make sense. U like Italian players who dive and crie every ten secondes because sombody touches him. BUt u hate cristiano ronaldo, the player who gets taclkeld 24/7 and then obviosly complains.

  have you read your sentence God? It doesn't make sense. first i never said i liked italians players who dived but like some italian players. they are not all divers. and what is your point with christiao ronaldo, i never said i liked christiano ronaldo's divings but you have to say that he is a good player. and next time think before writing.
