I am talking about Adriano's goal 3 years ago in Valencia in the group stage when he did the 360 thru the defender's legs at the right edge of the penalty box and just rocketed it past canizares... it was a magnifecent goal that definetely deserves to be up there, instad of A. Smith's goal, great goal but not quite as top 20 as Adriano's dont yall agree?

adriano's didn't score that goal. he did the 360 through the guy's legs, but the ball didn't go in, i think it smashed the side netting, so not shouldn't be in the top 50.

but i agree that alan smith's goal shouldn't be in there = bollocks

They were all great goals. I do have a few problems though, I think Ronaldinho's goal vs. Chelsea should be #5 or #4 and this is coming from a Barca fan. Also, where is David Silva's goal vs. Chelsea last year. He shot it from the wings and it went to the corner. That Alan Smith goals is given way too much credit. There was nothing special about that goal.

Come on, goals aren't only about the finish. 6 touches was all it took for Man Utd to bring the ball from just outside their penalty area to the back of the net. I wouldn't think that they could have done it again even if they tried it another 100 times in training. To quote one of the commentators, "The passing that led up to it was breathtaking, fast, rapid, to the point, and to the man". It was top-class for me.

Clearly not the best of football supporters if you can't see the obvious brilliance of the goal, its like many of the great team goals (Barca v Liverpool, Argies v Serbia) but better IMO becuase its more to the point, (look at my mentioned goals and note how many times they are passing it along the back four) all first touch football and about ten times faster.

They're missing a few amazing goals.

Shevchenko's 25 yard left foot curler against Inter Milan in 2004-05 Quarter final 2nd leg specifically. One of the most amazing goals you'll ever see in the Champions League.

Those of you making the comments about Alan Smiths goal are completely missing the point of it. It's about the build up, not particularly the finish itself, even though the finish was good in its own right.

From deep in United's half, into the back of Roma's net in about what, 5 or 6 touches? It's perfect football. Watch the goal again and tell me a better goal of its type in the Champions League, or anywhere else for that matter, because I for one can't think of any. It's a breathtaking goal, against a Roma team who are no pushovers, and throughly deserves it's place up there.

It's almost the same as Argentina's brilliant goal against Serbia in the 2006 World Cup, but with more incisive passing and with the fast forward button pressed in. Some people wouldn't spot good football if it slapped them in the face.

First of all silva's goal is there, and second of all it's a foul throw when he receives the ball, so it never should've counted anyway. But epic shot..

It's biased to English clubs, no doubt. I do not dislike English team but they are always overrated, especially Man U ( 6 goals... more than sum of Real Madrid and Barcelona???)

Sharpe - many strikers can score that goal, nothing special
Solskajer - cannot be regarded as a beatiful goal
Beckham - free kick is stunning, but there should be 100s of freekick like this.
long shot is a simple one (just coz its Beckham and Beckham CANNOT dribble. If he dribbles past three defenders than it's amazing and in the top 50???)
Cole - a good goal from teamwork
Smith - good teamwork

Bressan goal is brilliant - overhead kick from 28 yards @@
Juhninho free kick should be in top 3 - no GK can save a shot like this
Savicevic - gorgeous lob from that acute angle
