I'm glad Turkey won they really deserved it beacause they batteld with heart. The Czech's are a good team(having seen their quarter finals in Porto against Denmark in 2004), but this year wasn't their year. But what will they do without their keeper?

I don't think Holland can beat Turkey 6 - 0 as you are claiming as Turkey has character more so then some other teams as I think the world witnessed it in the last 15 minutes of the game as they had also witnessed it b4 in the 2002 WC.

this was a great comeback,
turkey just got lucky though. czech were dumb and fell apart. nothing that turkey did really, czech lost it, turkey didn't win it.
Also, sure the keeper pushed him, but the stupid pussy drops to the ground like he was shot. I hate anyone that does that. I dont care if they are on the team i'm going for, if you are a poor sport, and dive, you suck.
he gave him a little shove in the chest and he turns and falls on his chest the other way. No respect for a player that does that. none. i dont care if you'll do anything to win. its cheap.

Lethal 15 minutes. Our team collapsed completely and Turks scored two lucky goals. Very very very bad luck for Czechs. Anyway, only a fool would hope that the mediocre Turks can beat Croatia or any team that is able to defend its two-goal lead and will not break down from the sight of "we are there".
Without Volkan and Aureliano, Turks can start packing their luggage right now! No chance for them at all!

But...if you take England and Spain out, the Czechs really know how to choke in the last decade of world football.
Didn't make the 1998 and 2002 World Cup
Should have been in the 2nd Round of the 2006 World Cup
Should have been in the quarterfinals of Euro 2008
Euro 2004 was the only time they performed well.
Okay, this might be a small country with a small league(in comparison to the big 5), but they really have had some great players during that time and they should have done more than just one good tournament.

Oh man, its hopeless and funny to see those Turks here being drunk by and applauding to coincidental victory over a team that stopped playing.
For 75 minutes Turks played nothing but shit and were lucky that other 2 goals had not been scored (Koller and Polak). The ref did not give a clear penalty kick for leg in face of Polak...
And this is the team that is supposed to win the EURO? Gee, are you Turks always that idealistic and naive? I cannot wait to see your coach gesticulating towards the 4th ref again after you are fucked with Croatia, and faces of Turkish team after they suffer the bitter defeat.
You cannot win.

to 1234567890: You are right, there is not a weak team now. But if some here tried to be disinterested, they would have to admit, that until 75th minute, Turks did not do anything but collect yellow cards.
The whole first half: Turks had maybe two minor chances (Tuncay)?
Then 47th minute - a good Turkish chance, no goal, Cech saves.
Koller runs away, misses the net: good luck for Turks
63rd minute (if I am not mistaken), Plašil scores 2:0
Polak shoots, hits post. Polak is tackled badly, foot in face. Refree should have given a penalty kick (foot too high and in head of an attacker - clear foul). Why didnt he?
Pressure of Turks against Czech defense is stronger
75th minute: Arda scores 2:1
Turks play against a deep defensive block, left side feels like butter.
87th minute: Nihats equalizer
90th minute: Nihat decides the match.
For 15 minutes of 94, Turks were lethal. Would they have been if there had been a different defense which wouldnt have stopped playing and which would have try to keep the ball at their feet? No. The only men who played well during the whole match were Servet Cetin and Altintop. I mean Cetin is just fabulous, a real fighter! The rest including Nihat were just average. Second goal (Nihats) was a bad luck for Cech. No credit to Nihat: a 10-yr-old could score from this position. The last shot of Nihat was lucky too. He hit the bar.
Turks will not have Volkan and Aureliano. Turkish best player - Servet Cetin - is injured. Three other players have yellow cards. I can hardly see any way for Turks into the semifinals... Yes, once they get into the frenzy in which they played for the last 15 minutes of the match against CZE, they have great chances to go through. But the Croatians are a different team to ours. They wont allow anything like we saw yesterday.
Peace, its just football.

Yess! From what I've learnt, do not watch a Turkey game with a heart condition! Always drama, always stress till final whistle. I have lost my voice since the game. Admittedly we sucked all of first half and in some parts of 2nd half, but for the last 15 mins, this was the top shelf game together with Neds-France.
I always admire czechs for their football and was quite sad when they lost to Greeks in the 115th min silver goal in 2004. I am sorry they are out, but very happy we made it through. BTW, all of us were surprised with the czech coach decisions: keeping koller in and baros out all of 2nd half; Also taking Sionko out.
For the Turkish side, big respect to Arda for taking the responsibility and creating so many plays. And obviously Nihat, finally he got couple of chances and showed what he can do. The 2nd goal was cech's mistake, but also watch how Hamit's ball is curving away as it goes and how Nihat positioned himself for the drop. Not many would forwards have reacted to it as such,
I have big belief that we will beat Croatia. We need to take revenge for the 0-1 with Vlaovic goal few years back.
Go turkey (and no more blue-white jerseys please, what the hell is that)

The foot-to-head position bugged me too, but it's not a violation move, as Emre is watching the ball and providing a legit kick. It could have been an indirect shot, for dangerous move but no penalty. Any more opinions on this are welcome.
For Nihat's goals and quality, it's a shame you find them trivial and average. Please see his goals in Sociedad and Villareal. FYI he was the footballer of the year in spain couple years back. I don't think many forwards or any 10 yr old would be wise enough to jump across the defender for a possible flop in the 1st goal

To Cano: I was not speaking about Nihat in Spain. I was speaking about Nihat in Switzerland. About the 90 minutes, or rather to say, about 74 during which Turkey showed little football. I am sorry to all Turkish fans but this is my opinion. During those 74 minutes, there was nothing worth mentioning that the Turks including Nihat did. First Nihats goal was a lucky one. Well, you can say that he was on the right spot... But he was exactly where you expect any attacker to be. Nothing special. Second goal was superb but very lucky (hitting the post). This is why I said that he was average. Cetin, Altintop and Arda played much better during the game, the former two in particular.
As I said: peace, it is just football. If you asked me about Czechs, I would not say too many good things about anybody apart from Koller and Sionko, the defensive line was dreadful, Cech made a mistake that a GK of his qualities mustnt make and we could go on...
I would probably get many thumbs up for writing this. I believe this is a site for football fans who might sometimes have very different opinions. Not being a fanatic, I am trying to be as disintrestesed as possible and what I have written is how I see the game. Lucky ones and the worse team won (from the perspective of the game). The same like Czechs against the Swiss. The lucky ones and the worse ones won.
To Nat: I think you should grow up. Find one racist thing. Otherwise your silly post is not worth commenting. Btw. I supported Czechs, now that they are out, I am supporting good football only - most likely the Dutch who show the most sightly and quality football from all teams. Who do you support?
Vondosmanoff
one more to Cano: The foot in face (there was blood) happened in the box. I am afraid that had the ref not been afraid to give it, thus making the match a lets-just-finish-the game affair, it would have been a penalty kick. No complaints though, considering the luck Czechs had had a week earlier in the game with SWI (Ujfalusis first hand).
One more thing: Yesterday, Czech quality newspapers reported about Prokop, a pro rallye racer who happened to race in Turkey some days before the match. He prolonged his stay in Kemer and said he was sitting in a pub with cca 100 Turks none of which supported their team until 75th minute. After Turks scored and equalizer and then the winning goal, the racer and his team were mocked and some fanatical fans, knowing they were Czechs, tried to attack them. One Czech was grabbed under his neck.
Nat, do you think that this is OK? I do not think so...

Vondosmanoff - you're an idiot (and I'm a neutral). You spout racist, provocative non-sense and then try to cover your bigotry with trite expressions like 'peace it's just football' to try and make yourself sound like a reasonable gentle football fan.
Your comments about Nihat are just plain stupid. You said his goal was 'superb' and 'lucky'. Are you really going to say that every goal that goes in off the woodwork is lucky? or brilliantly placed? If you want a lucky goal just look at Ballack's goal against Austria. What a lucky goal! He was lucky there wasn't a sudden hurricane to move the ball as he kicked it. He was lucky the goal keeper didn't save it. He was lucky there wasn't a green alien on the line to save it. Nihat did very well for all the match. It was his influence as captain that got the best from his team - and then he capped a great captain's performance by scoring 2 goals in 2 minutes.
Your last comment about your supposed friend in Turkey is also fantasy. After such an unbelievable 15 minutes, after seeing their team come back from the dead, no Turkish supporter would not be bothered about attacking some Czech in a bar. Posting made up nonsense like that just to feed on anti-Turkish sentiment which exists in parts of Europe is a disgrace.
Luck is sometimes part of football. Yes Turkey was lucky not to be 3 down, yes Cech dropped a clanger - but similarly Czech were lucky to have a man free at the back post because Turkey had been penalised by the ref to play with 10 men even though a player was ready to come on following a serious injury. Yes, Czech players were lucky not to be booked for fouls worse than ones that Turkey received yellow cards for in the 1st half. Luck evens itself out. Turkey fully deserved their win - and your comments about Nihat especially show an embarrassingly poor understanding of football. THINK - before you post!
Vondosmanoff

Barry: Aha, so it is really sad with if you cannot respect someone else's opinions, calling him an idiot for them. You and neutral? No bloody way.
The only thing that I wrote here, was that Turkey did not play well until 75th minute, including the one you celebrate so much. The only two players who were good and fought were Servet and Altintop. That was - I believe - because Czechs enforced what they wanted to play upon the Turks - simply did not let them play their game. Is there anything unclear about that? Any disagreement? OK, let us admit they played well: how is it possible that the only thing they got were yellow cards? Do you consider a highly defensive, sometimes desperate game as a sign of quality football? Man, it is the Netherlands, not Turkey (and especially in this game) that plays extraordinary football. This is what I am speaking about. For 75 minutes, they played nothing because Czechs played their game. In the first half, Turks had barely a single serious chance. They started to play after the break and alas! second goal in their net. Penalty kick not given... Do you really think that this is a sign of a quality football? After the contact goal, Czechs completely broke down. My question is: was it the offensive strength of Turks that caused the equalizer and the winning goal? No. It was the collapse of Czech team which was not enforced by precise pressure game of the Turks but by fatal rookie mistakes of the whole Czech team and bad substitution of Bruckner. What happens if you have a bunch of players in a frenzy, attacking all the time and a hopeless defense? Add a mistake of Cech and you get the second goal. It was not the skill of Turks that won the game. This is what I am trying to say. It was their passion for football, perhaps morale and great help of Czech team. This is the reason I do not like the odes shown here by the Turkish fans. But it is probably a difference in mentality. Czechs themselves lost the game. No Nihat etc. I do not wonder you do not understand it - you seem that you can hardly understand a sentence. Otherwise you wouldnt have written that I had been speaking about a friend of mine in Turkey. And before you start accusing someone of lying, have a look here http://fotbal.idnes.cz/zavodnik-prokop-fandil-v... I can provide translation.

Barry: Last thing to you as I have better things to do than replying to disrespectful morons. It is good that you speak about luck. Can you remember any such game in which a supposedly first-class team lost a 2:0 lead in 15 minutes and eventually lost the game? You know, I would say Turks were better if the first goal had been scored in 47th minute and they had been attacking the whole second half, forcing Czech defense to make serious mistakes and eventually finishing Czechs off in 90th minute after long minutes of brutal and constant attacking. Did this happen? No. Turks were just lucky ones. Cech does not catch an easy ball, giving it to Nihat. As Platini said after CZE-SUI match, football is a strange game - sometimes the worse team wins. This is all I wanted to say. Well see how they do with the Croatians. Howgh!

Vondosmanoff - I apologise - a case of mistaken identity since you are obviously such a reasonable fellow. It was the person who posted the following that I was calling stupid. And I quote "And this is the team that is supposed to win the EURO? Gee, are you Turks always that idealistic and naive? I cannot wait to see your coach gesticulating towards the 4th ref again after you are fucked with Croatia, and faces of Turkish team after they suffer the bitter defeat." Now obviously the idiot who posted this was not you so again I apologise. (I wonder who the person who posted this thinks is going to fuck both Turkey and Croatia at the same time - or do you think he meant fucked by? Even when this person (who isn't you) uses offensive language in English he can't get it right!!!!) And similarly this person (who is not you) is letting his obvious prejudice against the Turks get the better of him.
In terms of football and the match I agree that Czech won the first half. Turkey just didn't show up and couldn't cope with Koller. Second half - even before Czech scored - Turkey were having the better of it.
I'm still interested to know how a goal can be superb and lucky???

You People dont get it do you. Turkey wasn´t lucky. Turkey Punished the Czechz for there own mistakes. Teams that make such mistakes don´t deserve the quarter final. So you can say that turkey deserve it and turkey was better.Any idiot that says that the Czechz where better because of the first half,i only say this to them: A game lasts 90 minutes.. They fought for it. They did´not play well, but they won. So imagine when they play wel, I wonder what will hapen then.

Damn, I cannot believe some of the comments you guys leave, especially "VONDOSMANOFF”!! Some say it won’t Nihat that turned the game round, i got shots of de javu from legendary player T.Henry when i saw the technique Nihat showed. Some state Czechs gifted the victory, some state if the ref was brave enough to give the penalty when Emre Asik kicked Jan Polak. There is always if's and but’s in the game, i could argue about the fact Volkan Demirel could of saved both goals, buts he didn’t, that’s football.. yes I admit first half Turks played poor but everyone saw the passion and believe that players showed second half, how many nations could come back from 2-0 down in the last 15minutes? Plus score 3 goals in the last 15mins against ones of world’s best keepers? Why do you think England is audience to this tournament? Because they luck passion, desire. England has quality but was it enough? NO! Talking about the attacks on the Czech supporters, I condemn the situation and apologise by behalf of them uneducated hooligans but I also got attacked for wearing a turkey kit in the capital of England while I was waiting for a bus? This doesn’t mean I have the right to blame the whole nation, you get hooligans from every country. Yes Turkish people over celebrate , 80million people have hunger for achievements, unrealistic expectations are from individuals that lack football knowledge! Imagine how footballers must feel knowing that they have one of the most passionate support in the world? We may not win against Croatia, it’s not a problem, we will play to our last blood.. As a Turk, i thank all the people around the world that appreciate this amazing victory!!

Barry: Good post, Barry the superior footie has spoken!:d/ On the basis of what I have written here, I believe Turkey cannot beat Croatia. I think there is no need to repeat the reasons, or is there?
I personally quite do not understand what are you trying to prove here, dear Barry. That Turks were a better team? We cannot reach any conclusion in this point as I am convinced they were not, apart from the fact that they won the game. They were just lucky, damn lucky, that is all. Luck is not the same as good, is it, Mr. Linguist? Anyway, Czechs won the game against SUI as well and I think that we wont argue that it can hardly be said that they were a better team. Please respect my opinion, I am trying to respect yours though I disagree.
Or were you offended by me saying that Turks are a mediocre team? OK, it might have been too harsh in judgement here. Is there anything that proves me wrong, though? Any victories? Any second, third places?
Or was it the use of an f-word and messing up a preposition - something you so happily take advantage of? How poor and unsubstantial...
Or what was it?
I do not see any contradiction between lucky and superb, or to be more precise specifically for you: I do not see why a shot cannot be superb and lucky at the same time. But perhaps your concept of understanding the two words is just very different to mine. But judging from the way you write, you must be right. Between the two of us, it is you who uses the language (perhaps your mother language) on the daily basis so obviously, it is you who must be right. Hats off and bows to you!
Btw. there arent many Turks (maybe 50 in 1/2 a million?) where I live and so I can hardly "let my obvious prejudice against the Turks get the better of me." Have no negative experience with them - and I lived in Germany which is infected by hatred towards Turks.
One more question to you, Barry: Are you a fanatical Turkey defendant or just someone who suffers from the syndrome of being righteous, omniscient and inerrant?

Dear Mehmet, please understand, that I have a different opinion about the game but it - I believe - just happens that way sometimes. For two days now I havent managed to understand how this happened. The more I think about it, the more I am sure that yes - Turks deserved to win because Czech team gave the victory to them. And my opinion is that had Czech players not stopped playing, thus giving the game to them, Turkey would not have won. Watching the last 15 minutes, I had a feeling that TUrkey was playing against let us say FC Kingsbarns (if there is any FC in Kingsbarns, I am sorry to them), not against Czech national team with superstars that earn millions by playing football and still performing poorly. This is all. I am very much curious about how you will play against Croatia. Good luck. And there is no need to apologize. I know that stupid people are everywhere. I just reacted to me being called racist. I perhaps took it too personally...

vondosmanoff, i don’t understand why you find it difficult to understand that the concept of a football match is 90 minutes? You make it sound like, “ok guys, we played poor for 74minutes, left not try for the remaining 16 minutes” no such consequence!

Mehmet, I am afraid I do not fully understand you and I am also tired of this. It is just my opinion I presented here - for most of the game, your team was worse, but eventually perhaps because of being more passionate, lucky and wanting the victory, they beat the team that stopped playing and gave you the victory. It was an amazing victory indeed. You look at it from a different point of view: Turkish players destroyed Czechs. I see it from the point of view that after playing well and for cca 70 minutes not allowing the Turks to do much (the pressure after the break could have been expected, all losing team act in this way, the second Czech goal is only a proof of this), Czechs collapsed completely and by not defending at all, they enabled your team to score three goals in 15 minutes. And it is exactly because I understand the concept of a football match lasting 90 minutes that I cannot say that Turks were a better team. They were a luckier team who wanted to win more. I know that this is "if" but try to imagine Cech had caught the pass to Nihat in 87th minute... This is all.

Against the Croatian’s it will be tough, keeping in mind they have played efficiently well and gained maximum points, the Turkish squad at the moment have serious injury issues, we lack in creativity and in my opinion and miss Yildiray Basturk in the squad, it was a mistake to dismiss such quality playmaker. I hope Hamit Altiptop will start CMF or AMC as he plays in that position for Bayern Munich. One other reason we scored 3 in 15mins is because altintop was moved from right back to attacking midfield position which successfully worked and he assisted all 3 goals. Again we seem to look like the underdog against Croatia but we were underdogs all throughout the world cup 2002 and managed to achieve 3rd place. The Turkish players like it the hard way i guess :d

Vondosmanoff - I appreciate your peace making efforts. I am very happy to agree with you that Croatia are favourites on Friday - esp. with Turkey's injury problems in defence. (I suspect that most Turks will agree with me - but that is the beauty of football - even though Croatia are the favourite Turkey still has a chance) Croatia was the team that effectively but my country out of the competition (with 2 goalkeeping mistakes to rival Petr Cech's!!!) Turkey fully deserve to be in the last 8 - the pressure they put on Czech was great - and you can't blame the Turks for the way the Czechs folded under pressure. Football matches are not decided by reputation - but by goals - and Nihat's final goal was one worthy to win any game - great stuff!
BarryLiverpoolbenchwarmer
Mehmet Tan - as an Englishman I have to disagree with your comment about England not being there because of lack of passion and desire. The reason England failed to qualify was because of lack of quality. We have 3 or 4 world class players but that is not enough for a team. When you don't have the quality to score against Macedonia at home you don't deserve to be in the finals.
I too can only apologise for the experience you had in London - unfortunately my country has many racist morons - many of whom claim to love football. Sadly all our countries seem to have the same problem.
I have two questions about the Turkey squad. You said you lack creativity but Nihat, Tuncay, Altintop are all creative players - I wonder if your big problem is that you don't really have a good centre forward. Since Hakan S retired (played longer than he should have done?) there has been no quality striker to take his place. Senturk is ok - but average at best. What do you think?
And my second question is why is your manager so unpopular in Turkey? He must be doing something right to get you to the last 8 of Europe?

Barry: no peace making effort as I did not start any war. I only expressed my opinion - perhaps rather roughly - that the Czech team lost the game for themselves and that Turks played no big deal for most of the match and were incredibly lucky in the last 15 mins. Many times have I explained my opinions and tried to provide arguments why I think so (and still do).
I am glad to hear that superior Englishness appreciates my effort... :)

BarryLiverpoolbenchwarmer my friend, as a general i agree with your comments. However coming back to the England team, do you seriously think England luck quality? i believe the squad is one of the strongest around, compare Turkish players with English players?
GK: Volkan - Rustu or Robinson – D james ? Turkey. CD: Terry-Ferdinand or Servet-Gokhan z? England. CM: Lampard - Gerrard or Emre-Auroilo? England. LM, RM: J cole – Tuncay S? England. FW, ST: Rooney – Defoe or Nihat - Semih? England.
England have more quality in every department apart from GK, thats the only department we progress than england, so how can turkey be in the last 8 and England on holiday?! No commitment, no passion, No heart ! thats the real reason my friend. There is only one player that gives 100% and thats S Gerrard, i admire this guy, he is englands best! Surely England has the quality to reach the last 8.
Turkey squad- creativity is our main problem, the players you named don’t match the criteria. Yes they are good players but not creative enough, basturk and emre are our most creative players, emres injured, basturks dismissed. Altintop is as good but faith terim prefers him right back due to injured Gokhan Gonul from Fenerbahce. The turning point in the Czech game was altintop moving to attacking mid for the last 15 mins but many people don’t realise this tactical change that made a massive impact in the result, 3 assist in 15mins! Faith Terim has changed his football mentality since euro2004, he believes in players who can pass to foot and play on the deck, example spain! Thats why Hakan s is left out, even though he is available! There is no replacement for Hakan Sukur till now. We don’t have a target man, a big strong stiker, nihat, semih, tuncay are all forwards, not out and out stikers.
reasons why faith terim became unpopular in turkey
1.Apart from success he gained e.g uefa cup winner. He failed to complete his targets, e.g reappointed galatasaray manager, failed to make any impact, discriminated players. But the nation still has faith in faith terim!
2. Were a nation that only appreciate individuals whom maintain constant achievments. Turkey came 3rd in the world cup 2002 and no one remembers Senol Gunes (manager of turkey in 2002) he lost reputation due to the system of Turkish media. Terim faces the same situation.
Damn, its hard to be a turk :D

I'm half czech, so I was obviously hoping for a czech win. But damn, they played so cowardly in the second half that I'm almost glad they lost.
Lost all respect for Koller as well. What a prick. Can't stand people who dive like that, it's just sad and pathetic. Even worse, he was seriously trying to injure the turkish goalie, so a little push is far less than he deserved.
Worst of all is that UEFA is now giving the turkish goalie a 2 match suspension for that incident. What a bunch of racist bollocks!
UEFA would never dare do that to any other nation than Turkey and perhaps Croatia. Think a German, French or Italian goalie would get a suspension for that? Never. What sad little men they are in the UEFA.
On a brighter note, I was hughely impressed by the Turkish captain. Never actually seen the effect of captaincy shine through that obviously. Turkey were controlling the game at the later stages, but they kept rushing it and blowing chances. So when he told his teammates to relax (with only about 5 min. left), it was pretty impressive to see the team do just that and score another 2 goals (both by the captain himself).
Great match. But fuck the UEFA, seriously.

I don't think Holland can beat Turkey 6 - 0 as you are claiming as Turkey has character more so then some other teams as I think the world witnessed it in the last 15 minutes of the game as they had also witnessed it b4 in the 2002 WC.
Dude did you not see the highlights? They came back and scored 3 goals in 15 minutes. I think anything is possible from now on...
I doubt Croatia will field a weakened side because they will want to finish first in order to avoid playing Portugal. So, yeah, I also believe it will be Croatia Vs Turkey. I would defnitely put my money on Croatia in that match. Sorry to any Turkey fans. :)
Turks deserved to win.
I love Checz but i gotta give it to turkey... they did so great !!! omg what a fantastic game.... jeeeez
WHAT A MATCH!!! ONE FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS! and the Turk goalkeeper at the end? What a dumb thing to do. If the Czechs had scored after that he would have been exiled from Turkey...
turkey just got lucky though. czech were dumb and fell apart. nothing that turkey did really, czech lost it, turkey didn't win it.
No respect for a player that does that. none. i dont care if you'll do anything to win. its cheap.

It doesn't matter what happens in tomorrow's matches: Croatia have won their group because they beat Germany head to head. They can field as weak a team as they want.

haahahha, at least you admit that turkey is capable of getting to the final, coz only this way they can meet Nederland you prick you bloody loser:d/
Arda one of the best player in euro 2008. When It was 0-2 he fought alone and played amazing. He took the initiative and then they scored 3 goals. It is best match in euro2008. Unforgettable !!!
I wouldnt say destroyed us. They were lethal with some of luck involved, and I have to admit, from 0:2 to 3:2 in last 15 minutes -> good job Turk guys.
But stay realistic and dont overrate this victory - if you want to succes in next game, you have to improve your play. Such a game use to occur once in tournament, so dont get yourself to similar situation for second time !!!
That bampot David Pleat already awarded Cech 'Goalie of the tournament'!
Best in the world?AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Go go Turkey
Enjoy the rest of Turkey in EURO 2008 Mates!! CHEERS!
ENGLISH - TURKEY IS GONNA FUCK CROATIA UP THE BUM HOLE :d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d/:d:d:d:d:d:d:d
PEACE NO WAR!
NO RACIST!
:)>-
The whole first half: Turks had maybe two minor chances (Tuncay)?
But Nihat's 2nd goal was absolutely outrageous. Talk about top class football xD
Oops, I take it back, I thought Poland had won vs. Austria, I was wrong...

I don't think many forwards or any 10 yr old would be wise enough to jump across the defender for a possible flop in the 1st goal
i still think the holland-france game was better but this one wasnt far behind
good on the turks for getting thru the group stages

Very well written, I'm Turkish myself but like you say its just football. I want to wish good luck for all countries trying to qualify. I hope Turkey will play good and repeat the W till the end (with luck of course). I just wish we could play Portugal again.

One more thing: Yesterday, Czech quality newspapers reported about Prokop, a pro rallye racer who happened to race in Turkey some days before the match. He prolonged his stay in Kemer and said he was sitting in a pub with cca 100 Turks none of which supported their team until 75th minute. After Turks scored and equalizer and then the winning goal, the racer and his team were mocked and some fanatical fans, knowing they were Czechs, tried to attack them. One Czech was grabbed under his neck.
Nat, do you think that this is OK? I do not think so...
And before you start accusing someone of lying, have a look here

Howgh!
In terms of football and the match I agree that Czech won the first half. Turkey just didn't show up and couldn't cope with Koller. Second half - even before Czech scored - Turkey were having the better of it.
I'm still interested to know how a goal can be superb and lucky???
On the basis of what I have written here, I believe Turkey cannot beat Croatia.

Comon what the f*ck are you talking about. How Dare you to say lucky.. Turkey punished Chechz for therre own mistakes.. If that is lucky, than spain won all the games whit luck.
please understand, that I have a different opinion about the game but it - I believe - just happens that way sometimes.
Not 1 goal from the 3 goals that turkey scored was luck. Chech made a mistake, nihat punished him. That is Class i think. and the other 2 goals was just the resolve of the hard working.
Hate it Or Love it, The underdogs Are in the Quarter Final.
They were a luckier team who wanted to win more. I know that this is "if" but try to imagine Cech had caught the pass to Nihat in 87th minute...
This is all.
cant you handle the power of the turks!!!

Turkiye was LUCKY!!! from 0-2 to 3-2. OMGGGGG
That way it will be easier to WOOP Your ASS guys.
GAME OF THE TOURNAMENT!! :d
I am glad to hear that superior Englishness appreciates my effort...
:)
I think its Samba, di Janeiro. Amazing comeback by the way. I m turkish and I did not celebrate until I saw the 3rd goal. Cuz I didnt believe if the game was over at 2-2, Turkey would qualify after penalties... We got lucky. I hope we'll beat Croatia, but I really doubt it...

Indeed. Turkish goalie got 2 games of suspension, where Schweinsteiger got only one for pushing Olic of Croatia with same intensity... Some racism going on...
Anyway, only a fool would hope that the mediocre Turks can beat Croatia or any team that is able to defend its two-goal lead and will not break down from the sight of "we are there".
Without Volkan and Aureliano, Turks can start packing their luggage right now! No chance for them at all![/quote]only a fool would say such things
Now Turkey on semi-finals.
Wait for the end.
uhm... hello... did you watch world cup 2002... turkey was 3rd
Turkey did this well, and still doing it... Turkey in the semifinals.Croatia was the one of the well playing teams in this tournament.Croatia's coach told it well after match."Turkey is a good team, but they have another x factor. And i dont know what its" The answer s soo easy coach...Thats s believe in your heart and fight 4 it till giving your last breath...Hw they say.."Never say die"...
Congats 2 Turkey...
