  Riise doesn't use his right foot. A right-footed defender would have kicked the ball in this situation with his right foot, away from the goal. The direction of the ball and the spin on it made it trickier to use left foot.

  Also, Riise didn't want to give away a corner. He would have given a corner if he kicked the ball with the instep of his left foot. If he didn't want to give away a corner, he would have had to kick the ball with the outside of his left foot, which I guess is a bit risky.

  I think it's weird that everyone is dumping on Riise because he made one mistake. Like no one else has every made a mistake in the history of football. It doesn't make him any worse of a player.

  All I have to say is... karma... karma, karma, karma. Liverpool bit the dust this time, that does some justice to Arsenal fans, although... I can't support any of these 2 teams, we got screwed over at Anfield by a bad penalty call and I'm still very bitter about it so I don't want Liverpool to win... but then again, Chelsea well... Chelsea is Chelsea and its my obligation to hate them so... yea, I think an Arsenal vs Barca or Man Utd final in Moscow would have been perfect, revenge vs Barca for 06 or play against our archest rivals Man Utd, there is no better final in my eyes. Good luck tomorrow Man utd and Barca supporters.

  I would like to remind all of you that Liverpool have nothing else to play for this year. They will start a reserve team in the PL this weekend, where as Chelsea's title hopes are on the line against ManU at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will surely start a strong side in the PL and will not be able to put their best foot forward at the Bridge on Wednesday.
  
  Don't think Liverpool will sit back and try and sneak goals, they will all out assault Chelsea if Rafa knows what is good for his job. Should be a thriller.
